BCBSOK Medicare Supplement Plans for 2026

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma

A Medicare Supplement plan from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma pays the gaps Original Medicare leaves behind - the Part A deductible, the Part B coinsurance, and the hospital costs that otherwise have no ceiling. Below are the BCBSOK plans available in Oklahoma for 2026 and what each one actually covers.

How Medicare Supplement Works in Oklahoma

Medigap plans are standardized by federal law. A Plan G from BCBSOK covers exactly the same benefits as a Plan G from any other carrier - only the premium, the rate history, and the service differ. That is the whole reason to shop it. You keep Original Medicare, you can see any provider in the country who accepts Medicare, and there are no networks and no referrals.

You also need a separate Part D prescription drug plan, since Medigap does not include drug coverage. We can quote that at the same time.

Before you choose, know about Oklahoma’s birthday rule. Oklahoma is one of only eight states where you can switch Medigap carriers every year with no health questions - a 60 day window opening on your birthday, for any plan with the same or lesser benefits. It substantially changes the risk of picking the wrong plan now. Read how the Oklahoma birthday rule works.

Plans BCBSOK Sells in Oklahoma for 2026

Plan Who Can Buy It The Short Version
Plan G Everyone The workhorse. Covers everything except the annual Part B deductible.
High Deductible Plan G Everyone Same coverage after a yearly deductible. Much lower premium; good for the healthy and disciplined.
Plan N Everyone Lower premium in exchange for small office and ER copays, and possible Part B excess charges.
Plan A Everyone The bare-bones option. Rarely the right buy – ask us why before choosing it.
Plan F / High Deductible F Only if Medicare-eligible before 2020 Closed to new Medicare beneficiaries. If you hold one, compare against G before renewing – F often prices worse.

When You Can Enroll Without Health Questions

Your Medigap Open Enrollment Period is the six months that begin the month you turn 65 and are enrolled in Part B. During that window BCBSOK must sell you any plan it offers at the standard rate, regardless of your health history. This is the single most valuable window in Medicare, and it does not come back.

After it closes, Oklahoma allows carriers to medically underwrite most applications. You can still switch, and people do it successfully all the time, but approval is no longer guaranteed. If you are outside your window, call us before you cancel anything.

Common Questions

Is a Medicare Supplement the same as Medicare Advantage?

No, and they are mutually exclusive. A Medicare Supplement works alongside Original Medicare and lets you use any Medicare provider nationwide. Medicare Advantage replaces Original Medicare with a private plan that typically uses a network. You cannot hold both at once.

Do BCBSOK Medigap premiums increase over time?

Yes. Every Medigap carrier raises rates over time to keep pace with medical costs, and most plans also increase as you age. What matters is the carrier’s rate increase history, not just the opening premium. We will walk you through that before you apply.

Can I change Medicare Supplement plans later?

You can apply to change at any time of year. Outside a guaranteed issue window, the new carrier can ask health questions and decline you. Never cancel an existing plan until the replacement is approved in writing.

Does Medigap cover prescriptions?

No. You need a standalone Part D plan. Going without one and enrolling later usually triggers a permanent late enrollment penalty, so it is worth setting up at the same time.
